Volunteers Needed
Jodee Lord, Moderator
The Annual Meeting & Conference Committee is busy at work planning for the 2025 AM&C to be held in St. Louis.
This year, we are working with a different model. There are no Congregational Churches right in St. Louis, but oh what possibilities there are.
We are looking for volunteers from Congregational Churches throughout the country to help by bringing their gifts and talents to the planning of the 2025 AM&C.
There will be a special Zoom meeting on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. CT. We will be forming committees in the areas of worship, music, social gatherings, marshals, and registration, and I’m sure we will have other needs.
If you would like to be part of this Zoom call or have any questions, please email me at lordjodee@yahoo.com or call me at 917-676-2801.

The Proverbial Needle…
Rev. Martin Hall, Vice-Moderator
It’s one of the job search websites (Indeed, ZipRecruiter… I don’t remember which) that has a commercial that reminds us that hiring can often feel like trying to find that ‘needle in the haystack.’ Finding the right person, with the right skills, and the right background, and the right temperament, and… and… and… is extraordinarily difficult. It is also, however, precisely what we are trying to do! In the coming days and weeks, you will see the earliest marketing pieces that speak to our search for a new Executive Director for the NACCC. In The Congregationalist, the e-news, on social media, and more, you will find opportunities to learn (and SHARE) more information about this critical position. And while we may use Indeed, ZipRecruiter, or other such services, our greatest asset in finding the right person for this role very well may be you. Somewhere out there is the right person, with the right skills, and the right background, and the right temperament, and… and… and… Are you that person? Do you know someone who might be? If so, reach out to them, or us, or both! At best, we are looking for the proverbial needle. Some might suggest we are looking for a unicorn. If you know someone who might be that one, please make the call – it could be the one that makes the difference!
