Almighty God, our hearts ache as once unimaginable horror ravages precious lives for reasons we will never understand.
Hear our prayers for those who dwell in a land of war, for their loved ones near and far who grieve brutal, sudden loss, for the suffering we can see, and deeper anguish shrouded by the urgency of terror.
We seek wisdom for decisionmakers: individuals making choices in an instant when neighborhoods are turned into battlefields; and leaders whose actions impact countless souls.
When we wonder how to respond, remind us of Micah’s call to do justice, love kindness and live humbly with you, and Isaiah’s vision of the day when “nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.” Amen.

I am sending along a picture of our Flag Color Guard that participated in an event for Baja California's Human Rights Commission. We are so proud of our kids who accept challenges and excel. They had less than two weeks for rehearsal! We were so impressed because they met Tijuana's Mayor and a representative of our Governor who attended the event. Submitted by Laura Ramirez, President
