Dear Lord,
We have much to give thanks for:
We give thanks for our forefathers and mothers.
We give thanks for our Association.
We give thanks for our member churches.
We give thanks for our pastors.
We give thanks for the many volunteers who support the NA.
We give thanks for our boards, ministry councils, and committees.
We give thanks for all the resources we are given.
We give thanks for our wonderful staff.
We give thanks for our ability to dream.
We give thanks for our diversity.
We give thanks for our past.
We give thanks for our future.
On this Thanksgiving and every day, we give THANKS for God’s love.

NACCC Building and Loan Fund
|
Rev. Dr. Martin Hall, Vice-Moderator

As we watched the devastation unfold from hurricanes Helene and Milton in the southeastern portions of the United States, we found ourselves wondering how many individuals and churches might be unaware of a critical resource that the NACCC has to help in just these types of situations (and so many more). The Building and Loan Fund of the NACCC offers low-interest loan rates and flexible repayment structures for churches expanding buildings, modernizing facilities, funding repairs from natural disasters or other damages, and more. There are some general limitations on funding amounts and loan terms, but we are eager to work with churches to try to meet needs in a way that will benefit the life and future of each local congregation. If this might be a benefit to your church, please start a conversation with us today!

On November 28, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving. I like to think of Thanksgiving as the holiday Congregationalists gifted to the United States of America. Growing up, it was a day of football and a table loaded with delectable food surrounded by family and close friends. We continue to have much for which to be thankful. We have vibrant churches that do so much for their communities, sometimes with limited resources. Many of our local churches are connected to neighboring churches through regional associations. Our churches are supported through the mission of the National Association. The programs and efforts of the National Association are supported through the endowments of the Congregational Foundation. Thank you for what you have done and what you continue to do.

We Congregationalists are a people of thanksgiving! With gratitude for your fellowship in the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches, we offer our annual Thanksgiving Proclamation. We invite you to read it from the pulpit, insert a copy in your Sunday’s Order of Worship, publish it as part of your weekly news bulletin, project it onto your screens, or otherwise share it.
We pray that you will experience abundant joy and countless blessings during this season of remembering God’s goodness and provision.
