Days before the Annual Meeting and Conference, the Rev. Dr. Gerry Krupp will begin employment as the first-ever NACCC Director of Programs. In this capacity, he will collaborate with the Growth and Vitality Ministry Councils and walk alongside churches in transition.
As we prepare for this comprehensive role that includes oversight of the Congregational Foundation for Theological Studies, we thank the Rev. Dr. Charles Packer as he completes his tenure as Dean.
To mark the conclusion of Gerry’s temporary, part-time role and the formation of a six-person full-time team in Oak Creek, we recently retreated to a nearby nature center and then got better acquainted over sushi.
Julie Robie will continue as Missions Coordinator, working remotely from New Hampshire. A search team is interviewing candidates for an editor of The Congregationalist to succeed Marianne King.
Cherokee Cultural Exploration Ministry Trip

Cherokee Cultural Exploration Ministry Trip participants went to the Eastern Band of the Cherokee in North Carolina. They spent five days learning about the Cherokee culture through the schools, museums, native foods, religion, arts, nature, and dance. Amos Smith, Program Coordinator from A Christian Ministry in the National Parks, Colorado, lead their daily study of Paul.
The time with the Cherokee United Methodist Church was informative and heartwarming. Participants Jodee Lord, Rich and Kay Miller-Todd, and Pat Smith will be attending the Annual Meeting and Conference in Milwaukee. Please ask them about their experience!
