PRAY FOR CHRISTIAN MISSION IN FAR EAST
Rev. Jaime Julian, director of the Christian Mission in the Far East located in the Philippines, sends word of the unfortunate and untimely passing of two pastors who served the mission.

Pastor Jess Julian, brother of the mission director, suffered from cerebral malaria and died at the age of 48 leaving his wife, Mhila, and three children. Jess was the acting District Missionary supervising eight churches in the Cagayan Valley Province. Pastor Jaime Julian states: “Jess was a peacemaker. He was concerned for everyone regardless of their religious affiliation. No wonder almost the whole populace of the municipality where he resides came in sympathy the day of his burial. He was a silent hero of faith.”

Pastor Vergilio Malco passed away due to an enlargement of the liver. He was not receiving regular medical checkups due to the remote location of his mission assignment and the lack of available transportation. He served three churches among the Mansaka tribe. Pastor Vegilio was 38 years old and was survived by his wife, Ahdel, and two children.

Additionally, Pastor Jaime has informed us that his wife, Erlinda, suffered a mild stroke during the month of February. Please remember this mission in your prayers during this difficult time.

“Thank God, despite all of these trials, we still see God who is over all- to guide and direct our lives. Partners, thank you for you are there to embrace and encourage us in our lowest times and make us feel that you love us. We feel strong and healed. God bless everyone!” . . . Rev. Jaime Julian

DENTAL CLINIC IN ARGENTINA
The Asociacion Civil Cristiana Congregational, the Argentine Mission, would like to open a dental clinic. Dr. Mario Krause, who is a dentist and current member of the mission board, would serve the clinic. Initially, the clinic would be open one day per week. The mission has requested the following support:

• $1,900 for equipment. Dr. Krause is able to purchase used - but quality - items necessary to equip a basic clinic.
• $250 - $300 per month for the purchase of supplies and operating costs.
• $200 per month salary for the dentist.

Once operational, the mission will review the need for extending days and hours of operation required to adequately serve mission clients. Please consider supporting this ministry of the Argentine Mission both prayerfully and financially.

NACC BUILDING INFESTED WITH TERMITES
The home of Rev. Ernanie and Awit Castillo, directors of the National Association of Congregational Churches in the Philippines, has received structural damage as a result of termite infestation. The Castillo’s home also serves as the headquarters of the mission. Pastors and mission workers, from outlying provinces, stay at the office headquarters for conferences or while doing mission business in Manila. Renovation and repair to the building will be completed by a friend of the mission at a cost of $13,000. Any financial or prayerful assistance offered by friends of the mission would be greatly appreciated. Please designate financial gifts “NACC Building Reconstruction.”

INDIAN TRAILS UPDATE
Dr. Thomas Gossett, director of the Indian Trails Mission, believes a spirit of revival is taking place in Mexico. The Senderos de Misiones Program, through Indian Trails, works to provide spiritual and leadership training for indigenous churches located in Mexico. Qualified workers are ready and standing by to take the "Good News" to areas where no churches exist. Indian Trails has successfully established pastors and Gospel workers within the interior of Mexico and with the Indian nations.

Indian Trails is pleased to announce the opening of the Senderos de Misiones Ministry Training Center in the fall of 2004. The facility will be located in Naco on the US/Mexico border. The center will offer Biblical training for students who have been recommended by local churches for leadership. The curriculum utilized will be intensive, specialized, and offer accelerated ministry training including:

• Ethics and Conduct
• Praise and Worship
• Prayer
• Ministering Arts
• English and Other Languages
• Old and New Testament Survey
• Homiletics

• Systematic Theology
• Scriptural Symbolism and Typology
