Ministerial Assistance provides emergency financial assistance to
ministers of the NA, both active and retired. The most common use for
this fund is to help a minister when there are medical costs for him/her
or for a family member. Many of the smaller churches in our Association
are
unable to supply needed support in an emergency situation. This
one-time grant helps a minister to rise above the financial emergency
and allows him or her to continue with ministry. In many cases,
the grant a minister received is the deciding factor on whether they can
continue in ministry or must secure a secular position.
The Division for Ministry oversees this fund. A grant is obtained
by contacting
The Rev. Dr.
Thomas Richard at the NACCC office. Dr.
Olsen then contacts the Chair of the Division for Ministry to discuss
the need and decide on an amount be given. This grant is kept
confidential and does not have to be paid back to the Fund. A
check is then released through the Ministerial Assistance/Enrichment
Fund.
